Gorgeous handheld art, a beautiful bronze figurine inspired by the Cycladic figurines from Ancient Greece. They carry mystery and reverence, and when you hold yours in your own hand, she carries whatever meaning you choose to bestow on her.

This piece was created by Loveland sculptor Bruce Gueswel. Most of his works are life size or larger. This is a rare foray of his into creating intimate, handheld sculpture.

You can see Bruce's large-scale sculpture and body of work for Chipotle Mexican Grill at www.brucegueswel.com, or visit his Etsy store at www.etsy.com/shop/GueswelArt

Bruce says: "My love of ancient art and cultures has led me to cultural heritage sites all over the world. Amid all the great art, the Cycladic figurines from Greece captivated my heart. I wanted some! Since they are one-of-a-kind and only in museums, I decided to make my own. I'm not a carver, so I used sculpting wax and cast them in bronze. As I was making my own, I started to mimic the stylized shapes, but discovered that how the figurine felt in my hand was more important than how it looked. Pick her up, hold her heft in your palm, make her warm. You'll want one too."
